How to take a long screenshot on iPhone with Full Page
October 31, 2026 · 3 min read
To take a long screenshot on iPhone, press the side button and the volume up button together, tap the screenshot thumbnail in the lower-left corner, then tap Full Page. You can scroll the preview on the right to see the whole capture and crop it before saving. Full Page appears in apps that can show content beyond the screen, such as a webpage in Safari.
How to take a long screenshot on iPhone, step by step
These steps follow Apple’s iPhone guide:
- Press and release the side button and volume up at the same time. On iPhone SE, press the Home button and the side button.
- Tap the thumbnail that appears in the lower-left corner.
- Tap Full Page. Drag your finger on the preview on the right to move through the page.
- To keep only part of it, tap the crop tool and drag the handles.
- Tap the save button in the corner and choose an option.
| iPhone | Keys | Full Page |
|---|---|---|
| With Face ID | Side + Volume up | Tap the thumbnail, then Full Page |
| With Home button (SE) | Home + Side | Tap the thumbnail, then Full Page |
Where Full Page works and where it doesn’t
Apple’s own example is a webpage in Safari. If the Full Page tab doesn’t appear after you tap the thumbnail, the app you’re in doesn’t offer a full-page version, and the screenshot covers only the screen. In that case, take several screenshots as you scroll, or check whether the app can share or export the content another way.
Where long screenshots are saved
Regular screenshots are saved to the Photos app: open Collections, scroll to Media Types and tap Screenshots. A Full Page capture is saved through the option you pick in the editor.
Long screenshots on Android
Android calls it Capture more (Google) or Scroll capture (Samsung), and Google says it works on most screens that scroll. See how to take a scrolling screenshot on Android.
Full pages on a computer
On a Mac, Safari has no Full Page button, but there are ways around it: see full page screenshots in Safari.
If you work in Chrome on a computer, Full page screenshot captures a whole web page in a couple of clicks and saves it as PDF, PNG or JPG. It’s a Chrome extension for desktop, so it doesn’t run on iPhone.
