Android scrolling screenshot: Capture more, Scroll capture
October 31, 2026 · 3 min read
To take a scrolling screenshot on Android, press Power and Volume down together, then tap Capture more at the bottom of the screen and drag the crop guides to the length you need. That’s how it works on Android 12 and later, including Pixel phones. Samsung Galaxy phones have the same feature under the name Scroll capture in the toolbar that appears after a screenshot.
Android scrolling screenshot by phone
| Phone | After Power + Volume down | Saved to |
|---|---|---|
| Android 12+ (Pixel and others) | Tap Capture more | Photos: Collections > On this device > Screenshots |
| Samsung Galaxy | Tap the Scroll capture icon | Gallery |
| Older Android | Depends on the manufacturer | Gallery, Screenshots folder |
Android 12 and later: Capture more
Google’s Android help lists these steps:
- Open the screen you want to capture.
- Press Power and Volume down at the same time. If that doesn’t work, hold Power for a few seconds and tap Screenshot.
- At the bottom, tap Capture more.
- Drag the crop guides to select the content you want, then save.
Google notes that this works “on most screens that allow you to scroll”. If Capture more doesn’t appear, the screen you’re on doesn’t scroll in a way Android can capture.
Samsung Galaxy: Scroll capture
Samsung’s guide first asks you to turn on the toolbar:
- Go to Settings > Advanced features > Screenshots and screen recorder and turn on Show toolbar after capturing.
- Take a screenshot with Power and Volume down.
- Tap the Scroll capture icon in the toolbar. Long-press it to jump to the bottom of the screen.
- Tap anywhere outside the toolbar to finish. The screenshot is saved to the Gallery.
Samsung also notes that screen captures are automatically scaled down before they are saved.
Other Android phones
Other manufacturers add their own version under different names. If your phone supports scrolling screenshots, the option sits in the toolbar or preview that appears right after you take a screenshot.
On iPhone
iPhone has Full Page for Safari webpages. See how to take a long screenshot on iPhone.
On a computer, Full page screenshot captures a whole web page in Chrome and saves it as PDF, PNG or JPG. It’s a desktop Chrome extension and doesn’t run on Android phones.
