Privacy policy
This policy covers the chromesnapshot.com website only. We keep data collection to the minimum the site needs to work and to understand which pages are useful.
Anonymous usage statistics
We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool, in two places: on our own server at analytics.neomake.app and in Umami Cloud (cloud.umami.is), a hosted service run by the makers of Umami. Both receive the same anonymous data. Umami records which pages are opened, the page you came from, your browser, operating system, device type, screen size, language and approximate country.
It also counts clicks on install buttons and on links to product pages, so we can see which pages and articles are helpful.
Umami does not use cookies, does not build a profile of you and does not store your IP address. The statistics are aggregated, and we cannot identify individual visitors from them.
Cookies and browser storage
The site sets one cookie, site_locale, and only when you pick a language in the language menu. It remembers your choice for one year so the site opens in that language next time.
When you close the install bar in an article, your browser remembers it in session storage until the tab is closed. Nothing from it is sent to us.
We use no advertising, tracking or social media cookies.
Feedback forms
The feedback page and the page shown after the extension is removed contain forms hosted by Google Forms. If you fill one in, your answers reach us through Google, and Google processes them under its own privacy policy. The forms do not ask for your name or email address; please don't include personal details you don't want to share.
If you write to [email protected], we receive your email address and your message. We use them only to answer you and delete the conversation when it is no longer needed.
Hosting
The site is delivered by Cloudflare Pages. To serve pages and protect the site from attacks, Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP addresses under its own privacy policy.
The site uses your system fonts and loads no fonts, maps or videos from other services. Links to the Chrome Web Store lead to Google's website, where Google's privacy policy applies.
What we don't do
We don't ask you to create an account, don't show ads and don't sell or share data with advertisers.
Your choices
You can block the statistics script with any content blocker; the site keeps working. You can delete the language cookie in your browser settings at any time. To have an email conversation with us deleted, write to us and we will remove it.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, we will update it on this page and change the date below. Questions about privacy: [email protected].
